Henderson Teacher Anthony Coffield Arrested and Charged with Sexual Misconduct Involving Student

Anthony Coffield, a 35-year-old theater teacher at Green Valley High School in Henderson, Nevada, has been arrested and faces felony sexual assault charges following allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct with a student. The Henderson Police Department confirmed the arrest, which comes after a month-long investigation conducted in coordination with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.

Coffield, employed by the Clark County School District as a performing arts and theater instructor, was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on November 26. He faces charges of sexual assault and sexual conduct between a school employee and a pupil. Authorities say there is currently no indication of additional victims at this time.

Green Valley High School Principal Kent Roberts notified parents of the arrest in a letter, calling it related to an inappropriate relationship with a student. The letter emphasized that Coffield would not return to campus and that the school was fully cooperating with law enforcement. “An employee assigned to our school was arrested by the Henderson Police Department on charges related to an inappropriate relationship with a student,” Roberts wrote, underscoring the district’s commitment to student safety.

Jail records indicate that Coffield is being held on $10,000 bail. The Clark County School District has not issued an immediate comment but is supporting the ongoing investigation.
