Jayden Spicer has been discovered dead. His mother is facing charges in connection with his death.
Jayden Spicer, 10, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in the woods off Canoe Road in Breathitt County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Jayden's mother, Felicia Gross of Jackson, 33, has been apprehended by investigators. She faces charges of manslaughter, misuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and false reporting of an occurrence. Gross is being incarcerated in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
Police say the inquiry began last Tuesday, when Jayden was reported missing, prompting a massive search by state and municipal officials.
Kentucky State Police say the case is still under investigation.
