A 21-year-old Florida woman, Yazmin Erazo, was arrested after being caught driving at speeds of up to 107 mph in a 55 mph zone along U.S. Highway 19 in Palm Harbor, Florida — all in an effort to make it to her favorite pizza spot before closing time.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by WFLA, deputies spotted Erazo speeding northbound late Thursday night. When pulled over, she reportedly told officers she was “trying to get to Little Caesars before it closed at midnight.”
Authorities said Erazo was taken into custody without incident and charged with reckless and excessive speeding. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office noted that she was traveling more than 50 mph over the posted speed limit — a violation considered extremely dangerous on public roads.
The arrest report described Erazo as cooperative during the stop. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail before later bonding out.
While Erazo didn’t make it to Little Caesars that night, she certainly made headlines — and, for now, her late-night pizza run will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
