Mother Killed, Daughter Critically Injured After Suspected DUI Crash Involving Michael Eugene Osborne in Warr Acres

A mother was killed and her daughter critically injured after a truck struck them while they were walking in Warr Acres on Sunday afternoon, according to police. The suspected DUI crash has left the community shaken as investigators continue to piece together what happened.

The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. near Northwest 38th Street and MacArthur Boulevard, Warr Acres police said. Both victims — a 45-year-old mother and her 19-year-old daughter — were rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries. The mother was later pronounced dead, while the daughter remains in critical condition following emergency treatment. Their names have not yet been released pending family notification.

Police arrested Michael Eugene Osborne, 68, of Oklahoma City, at the scene. Witnesses reported that Osborne was driving erratically southbound on MacArthur Boulevard before his truck veered over the curb and onto the sidewalk, hitting the mother and daughter who were walking in the same direction.

Warr Acres Police say Osborne is facing multiple charges, including:

Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are urging drivers to remain vigilant, especially as DUI-related incidents continue to devastate families across Oklahoma.
