AMBER Alert Issued for Missing Utah Brothers Will and Wesley Richman After Father Dane Richman Allegedly Flees Toward Mexico

Authorities have issued an AMBER Alert and launched an international search for two missing Utah brothers after investigators say their father, 46-year-old Dane Stephen Richman, allegedly abducted the children and may have fled toward Mexico following what police describe as weeks of planning.

The missing boys have been identified as 22-month-old Will Richman and 10-month-old Wesley Richman. According to investigators, the children were reported missing after Richman allegedly failed to return them following a scheduled custody exchange in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

Law enforcement officials say evidence gathered during the investigation suggests the disappearance may have been premeditated.

According to authorities, Dane Richman had recently quit his job, was reportedly experiencing financial difficulties, sold personal belongings, and appeared to abandon his residence before disappearing with the children. Court documents also indicate Richman allegedly missed a custody-related deposition and dismissed his attorney on the same day he vanished.

Investigators used surveillance footage, cellphone records, and vehicle tracking data to follow Richman’s movements in the days leading up to the disappearance.

Police said Richman’s vehicle was serviced in Carlsbad, California, near the U.S.-Mexico border, on May 18. Authorities later tracked cellphone activity placing him close to the border before investigators believe he crossed into Mexico.

Family members also told investigators that Richman owns a satellite phone and has experience living “off the grid,” raising concerns among authorities that he may attempt to remain hidden with the children for an extended period of time.

Will Richman and Wesley Richman are both described as having blonde hair and blue eyes.

Dane Richman is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 195 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

Authorities believe they may be traveling in a black 2025 Toyota Camry bearing Utah license plate A561HL.

The children’s mother, Lizzie Tomich, has publicly pleaded for the safe return of her sons as law enforcement agencies continue coordinating search efforts across the United States and Mexico.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dane Richman, Will Richman, or Wesley Richman is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
