Family suspects that Wittit Gee fatally shot Taquirney Fifer after they left a club located in the 9300 block of Autumn Harvest Lane.

Wittit Gee asserts that Taquirney Fifer took her own life. According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, a shooting incident that resulted in a woman being injured in southeast Shelby County has been deemed an act of self-defense.

Deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call about a shooting in the 9300 block of Autumn Harvest Lane just before 10 p.m. A woman found at the location was suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. The SCSO has identified her as 21-year-old Kimari Burnham.

Witness accounts indicated to the sheriff’s office that the group began banging on the front door and threatening the resident inside. READ MORE HERE

The SCSO stated that Burnham and Kelley forcibly kicked in the front door, causing it to come off its hinges. It is reported that the resident then fired shots in response.

Detectives concluded that the shooting was justified as self-defense. The SCSO mentioned that the resident will not face any charges.

Burnham, Kelley, and Payne have been charged with conspiring to commit an aggravated burglary. Additionally, Burnham and Kelley have faced charges for misdemeanor vandalism.

The SCSO noted that Burnham remains in the hospital but is now in stable condition.
