The young mother linked to the tragic incident concerning the newborn at Walmart in Kingsville is 17-year-old Jayla Esparza, hailing from Mathis, Texas.

 

Investigative sources indicate that the 17-year-old Jayla Esparza is expected to face several charges, including:

– Manslaughter

– Child Endangerment

– Tampering with a Human Corpse

As she is currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital following the incident, Jayla has not yet been processed.

Authorities are also said to be considering charges against her father, who reportedly did not know about her pregnancy.

Law enforcement suspects that Jayla gave birth in the women’s restroom on Monday night, where blood was subsequently found. She was identified after returning to the location, aided by surveillance footage and accounts from witnesses.

This investigation is ongoing, and formal charges will be confirmed once she is booked.
