Georgia authorities have arrested two people following reports of an active shooting at the Augusta mall on Tuesday afternoon, which killed one person.
According to a release from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, two suspects are currently in arrest, and the mall will be closed until further notice.
The study also established that there were three suspected victims, one of whom was fatally shot. According to 11Alive, police are looking for two additional individuals.
The Richmond County Marshal's Office announced on Facebook: 'Please be advised, shooting at the Augusta Mall.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office of Georgia and the Marshal's Office are on the scene. Please keep clear of the area.
Sources told WRDW that the shooter was first seen at American Eagle before running into a nearby Bath & Body Works.
According to the outlet fellow shoppers resorted to performing CPR on one of the victims who was shot. The victim sadly later died, WAGT reported. Authorities had yet to release the names of those arrested or injured.
Third possible suspect sought.
The first reports arrived just before 1:25 p.m., and deputies described it as'more of a skirmish' rather than a mass shooting incident, according to atlantanewsfirst.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office reported one victim and two suspects in custody. Deputies were still searching for one suspect as of 2:10 p.m.
Following the event, the mall was closed and patrons were evacuated. Authorities warned people to avoid the area.
Around 1:55 p.m., emergency medical teams arrived with two stretchers. A third stretcher was positioned against the wall outside Barnes & Noble.
