Buhun Barkonun Abuja has passed away

A 47-year-old man, Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, also known as Buhun Barkonun (AMAC) and the FCT Chief Advocate on Community Development, died in a terrible incident in Karu-Jikwoyi, Abuja.

According to sources, Yunusa checked into a hotel with a woman named Ruth on Tuesday, September 8th, 2025. During their stay, he allegedly refused to eat and instead drank alcohol continually.

On the morning of the incident, Ruth, concerned about his condition, reportedly bought him an energy drink. Shortly after taking it, he slipped into a coma. Efforts by Ruth and the hotel management to rush him to the hospital proved futile, as he was declared dead on arrival.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are currently underway.
