A Mississippi woman has been detained in connection with the shooting murder of a Jones County man on Monday morning.
Deputies said the victim, Donnie 'Ray' Bender Jr., was found with gunshot wounds at a residence on Graves Road.
He was rushed to South Central Regional Medical Center but died, according to the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
Joanna Husband, 46, of Ellisville, was apprehended and taken into custody, and she has since been charged with second-degree murder, WDAM reports. According to reports, the woman's name is Jonna Husband.
It was later found that the shooting occurred during an altercation between the victim and the suspects, who were identified as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Husband's bond was set at $250,000 by Jones County Justice Court Judge Dal Williamson in her first court appearance on Monday afternoon.
The sheriff's office stated that the shooting is an isolated event with no ongoing threat to the community. The Jones County Coroner's Office also investigated the event.
