Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, missing Berks County, Pennsylvania mom & 1 year old son found murdered with suspect tied to dad’s murder in family slaying of three [PHOTOS]

Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, a missing Berks County, Pennsylvania mother and her one-year-old kid, were found killed, with a suspect linked to the father's death in a three-person slaying. Junior Cabrera-Colon, the partner, has a baby kid named Jeyden Junior Peguero.

The bodies of a missing Reading City, Pennsylvania mother and her one-year-old infant son, who were reported missing early last week, were discovered in Berks County, Pennsylvania over the weekend. 

Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, 30, and Jeyden Junior Peguero, a one-year-old boy, were discovered hours apart on Friday night as Berks County authorities continued their days-long hunt for the missing mother and son.

Peguero-Mancebo’s body was discovered Friday night in a grassy field near East Huller Lane in Ontelaunee Township. Her son’s body was found in a nearby marshy area the following day, Action News reported.

Investigators have ruled both deaths a homicide, though officials did not immediately detail their causes of death.

The Berks County District Attorney’s Office has scheduled a news conference for Sept. 29 to provide updates on the case.

Following news of the mother and son’s bodies, NBC10 reported a 61-year-old Reading man, Jose Luis Rodriguez being taken in police custody for the murder of 31-year-old Reading City man, Junior Cabrera-Colon who was found shot in the head in nearby Baer Park on Sept. 13, 2025.

On September 18, one day before the missing mother's body was discovered, Rodriguez allegedly confessed to killing Cabera-Colon and leaving his body along River Road. Rodriguez has now been charged with murder, corpse abuse, and other offenses in connection with Cabera-Colon's death.

The victim shared a flat in Reading City with the missing mother and her son, who had not been seen since September 12th. It remained unclear whether the deceased man was the father of the murdered one-year-old boy.

Authorities had not said if they believed Rodriguez was responsible for the deaths of the Berks County mother and her young son. Along with the circumstances surrounding the young family's slaughter.

A GoFundMe has since been created to help cover costs to repatriate the bodies of Geraldina Peguero, her 1-year-old baby, and her husband to the their place of birth, the Dominican Republic.
