Isaiah Ortiz sexually assaulted Hailey Valdez of Las Cruces

On December 22, 2024, Isaiah Ortiz brutally sexually attacked and beat Hailey Valdez of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Her illness was so serious that she needed to be airlifted to the hospital.

A rape kit was completed, which purportedly revealed forcible intercourse, edema, and lacerations. On the exterior, she had considerable bruising on her thighs and legs, as well as a choking mark on her neck.

When police arrived around 10-15 minutes later, they found Ortiz wearing only socks and crying over the victim, as she lay there bloodied and unconscious. One officer reportedly stated they thought she was dead at first.

After she came to, she was able to identify her child’s father, Ortiz, as the perpetrator. He was arrested and charged with second degree criminal sexual penetration, aggravated battery against a household member with bodily harm, and attempted escape of police custody.

He pleaded not guilty, and the case was set for trial, but on September 10th, the prosecutor called the victim to notify her that they offered Ortiz a plea deal of 4 years in prison in exchange for pleading guilty to the attempted escape and battery charges. On September 12, a judge accepted the plea deal. The SA charge was dropped. Because of this, he will not have to register as a sexual offender.

She didn’t even get a say. Where is the justice?
