Outrage as babydaddy, Carlos Losos Way, held Romeca Meeks in a headlock before she got killed by the second babymama in South Loop

According to intel, Carlos Losos Way (rackboyloso) was holding his BM, Romeca Meeks, in a chokehold before she was shot dead between 22nd State and Cermak.

Today, Monday morning, shortly after 9 a.m. in Chicago's South Loop, Romeca Meeks, 31, was doing what mothers do: dropping her son off at school. Minutes later, she lay in the street, fatally wounded by a gunshot to the face.

According to rumors, Romeca ran into her child's father and another woman, the other mother of his child. Tension erupted. Words flew. Fists flew. Then came the gun.

Police say the altercation turned deadly when the other woman pulled a weapon, firing into Romeca’s face in broad daylight on the 2200 block of South State Street.

Romeca was rushed to Stroger Hospital, but doctors could not save her. She was pronounced dead soon after.

A mother. A daughter. A woman whose life was snatched in front of the world over an argument that should never have ended in gunfire.

How did a school drop-off turn into a murder scene? Why is gun violence the first response in our communities? And how many more children will grow up motherless because of senseless rage?

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Chicago Police Department immediately.
