Sydney Strickland, Laurell Hill, North Carolina teen killed in Scotland County car crash, which left three others injured near Laurinburg [PHOTOS]

Sydney Strickland, a Laurell Hill, North Carolina teen, was killed in a Scotland County car crash that injured three people near Laurinburg. The fatal victim was a UNCW college student and beauty pageant winner who was widely loved and adored. 

While authorities did not release the identity of those involved in the crash, an obituary named the deceased victim as Sydney Brynn Strickland, an 18-year-old lady from Laurel Hill.

Two persons involved in the crash were airlifted to the hospital, while a third was transported by EMS. The situations and identities of the three involved were unknown.

Sydney's death prompted many who loved her to remember her as a college student at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, and a beauty pageant winner.

I heldpd with cheer and When it was time for college, we applied and spent days together. She got into so many schools but settled on Wilmington, a really good fit for her.’ 

‘Sydney loved her family (man she was a daddy’s girl) and made sure everyone felt special and included. She was the most beautiful girl on the inside and out. We are lost, broken, I am mad and honestly I dont think we will move on and that’s just my family. Abel, Jude and Vedah are devastated. Please pray for her family, parents, siblings, friends and my Kate and Austin. Life has been ruthless recently.’
