Winona, Minnesota — A 27-year-old woman, identified as Jasmine Katherine Brown, has died following a tragic car crash on Interstate 90 Wednesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities say Brown, a resident of Winona, was driving westbound on I-90 in a Chevy Traverse when the vehicle veered off the road into the median. The SUV then struck the County Road One bridge pier head-on before rolling multiple times and coming to rest in the middle of both westbound lanes.
Emergency responders from the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Fire and Rescue, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service arrived at the scene. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead on-site.
The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed that additional details surrounding the crash will be released following their ongoing investigation. A formal update was expected at 8 a.m. Thursday.
News of Jasmine Brown’s passing has spread quickly online, as friends and loved ones shared messages of grief and disbelief in response to what many described as her “final Facebook post” shared shortly before the crash.
Brown is remembered by those who knew her as a kind and joyful spirit whose life was tragically cut short.
