Li Ojay and 2-Year-Old Daughter Jhersi Among 3 People Found Shot Dead on Grammont Street in Monroe

Monroe, Louisiana (October 28, 2025) — Tragedy struck early Tuesday morning when 26-year-old Li Ojay and his 2-year-old daughter, Jhersi, were found shot to death along with another adult male inside a home on Grammont Street in Monroe.

According to the Monroe Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:30 a.m. near the city’s public works department. Upon arrival, they discovered three victims — including a toddler — each suffering gunshot wounds to the head.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the third victim, and no arrests have been made. Investigators say the motive behind the killings remains unclear, and the case is being treated as a triple homicide.

A spokesperson for Monroe Police confirmed that detectives are actively pursuing leads and reviewing surveillance footage from the area.

“This is a horrific crime, and we’re asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual early Tuesday morning to please come forward,” police said in a statement.

Residents in the neighborhood say they were awakened by the sound of gunfire, describing the scene as “heartbreaking” after learning that a child was among the dead.
