Marceeda Lynett Walker Mugshot Goes Viral After Allegedly Assaulting Special Needs Student Stylez Hastie at Lakewood High School

Marceeda Lynett Walker, a teacher’s aide at Lakewood High School in Sumter County, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting special needs student Stylez Hastie.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified on October 14, 2025, about a report indicating that the alleged assault occurred on September 10, 2025.

Authorities say the incident, which took place within the school premises, was not reported by school officials, despite them being mandated reporters under state law.

Following an investigation, Walker was taken into custody and later transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. She has since posted bond and been released.

Images from Walker’s mugshot have gone viral online, drawing widespread attention and outrage from parents and community members calling for accountability within the school district.

The Sumter County School District has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident or whether disciplinary action will be taken against staff members who failed to report the alleged assault.

The investigation remains ongoing.
