Authorities in Cobb County, Georgia, are appealing to the public for help locating Dr. Melanie Nadler Litt, a well-known Marietta dentist who mysteriously went missing just days before she was scheduled to leave for a dream trip to Japan with her husband.

According to officials, Dr. Nadler Litt, 52, was last seen Monday night. She failed to arrive at her dental office, Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas, where she was scheduled to work on Tuesday morning. Friends said she had worked the previous day at another clinic in Marietta.

Of growing concern, her vehicle was later found discarded, though police have not disclosed its exact location.
