A social media storm has erupted after Maxyne Galindo publicly accused a man identified as Kent S. Dela Cruz, also known online as “Go Ku,” of using her pictures without her consent and manipulating them with AI.
Taking to Facebook, Galindo issued a strong warning to her followers, urging them to be cautious of Dela Cruz’s actions.
“BEWARE! Especially mga taga Marbel or Sultan Kudarat if may kilala kayong Kent S. Dela Cruz or ‘Go Ku’ sa Facebook. He is using my photos without my consent and gina-edit n’ya face ko with him. I don’t even know this person and gina-AI pics ko and naga-spread ng kung ano-ano na story,” Galindo wrote.
The content creator went on to condemn the use of AI in such a way, stressing that it should not be misused for personal fantasies or manipulations.
“NEVER DO THIS! Don’t use AI for your personal fantasies lalo na if hindi alam ng taong ginagamit mo. AI is not made for your personal fantasies — it is used to help us pero ‘di sa ganitong bagay.”
Despite the anger from her supporters, Galindo also urged her followers not to resort to harassment or violence against the accused individual.
“p.s. this post is for awareness, never send death threats to anyone,” she clarified.
The callout has since gained traction online, sparking wider discussions about digital consent, AI misuse, and online safety.
