Portia Makhathini Killed by Husband After Discovering Affair with Her Manager

Portia Makhathini tragically lost her life after being shot by her husband in a suspected crime of passion that reportedly unfolded on her birthday.

According to circulating reports, Portia’s husband had organized a surprise braai to celebrate her special day. However, when she returned home from work carrying gifts, she told him she planned to go out again to celebrate with friends.

An argument reportedly broke out before she left, and when her husband later tried to reach her, she ignored his calls. She only returned home around 6 a.m., heading straight to the bathroom. Her husband followed, leading to another heated confrontation.

It was during this argument that the husband allegedly checked Portia’s phone and discovered messages revealing that she had spent the night with her manager rather than her friends.

Overcome with anger, he shot her five times, killing her instantly, before driving himself to the police station with her phone — said to contain the evidence of the affair.

Authorities are investigating the tragic incident.
