Rae’Jianna Hall, Milwaukee Woman, Fatally Stabs Cousin Jaquveon Wright After Argument Over Taco Bell Job

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing her cousin to death during a heated argument over a job opportunity at Taco Bell.

According to police and court documents, Rae’Jianna Hall, 19, is accused of fatally stabbing Jaquveon Wright, 18, her cousin, during a domestic dispute at their shared duplex home on September 29. The confrontation reportedly began when Hall became upset that Wright refused to help her get hired at the fast-food restaurant where he worked.

The Deadly Dispute

Investigators say Hall and Wright lived together at the duplex along with other family members and Wright’s girlfriend. On the day of the incident, tensions escalated when Hall confronted Wright about not helping her secure a position at Taco Bell.

According to the criminal complaint, Hall admitted to police that she and Wright got into an argument earlier that day, during which she pepper-sprayed him. The two went their separate ways for a few hours before the confrontation turned deadly later that afternoon.

Hall reportedly told investigators that Wright became angry after she “spit on him,” leading him to “run up and hit her.” She then claimed to have stabbed him in self-defense, insisting that she did not intend to kill him.

Police Response and Witness Accounts

Police responded to a 911 call placed by Hall, who stated she had stabbed her cousin. Upon arrival, officers found Wright lying outside the residence, suffering from a stab wound to the neck. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Wright’s girlfriend, Zyairea Brown, she overheard Hall yelling, “I’m going to stab you, I’m going to kill you,” while laughing during the confrontation. She told investigators she witnessed Hall swinging her fists at Wright and then saw “blood all over the walls” moments later.

Brown also told police that Hall had pepper-sprayed Wright earlier in the day and that violent arguments between the cousins were not unusual.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Following her arrest, Hall was charged with reckless homicide, domestic abuse, and use of a dangerous weapon, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She remains in custody on a $100,000 bond, with her next court appearance scheduled for October 14.

If convicted, Hall faces up to 60 years in prison for the Class B felony, along with an additional 5 years for using a weapon.
