Authorities and loved ones are searching for Thomas “TJ” Mauch, a 34-year-old man from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, who vanished early Friday morning and remains unaccounted for as of late Sunday night.
According to the Berkeley Heights Police Department, Mauch was last seen around 4:45 a.m. on October 3 near Glenside Road in Berkeley Heights Township. His disappearance has since sparked growing concern among his family, friends, and the wider community.
Mauch is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall, and at the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a hat, a gray zip-up fleece, black jeans, and hiking shoes.
His wife, Julie Mauch, issued a desperate plea on social media asking for help:
“Please be on the lookout for my husband. He is missing and we have yet to locate him. Please share. We live in BH, but he may have traveled to surrounding towns,” she wrote.
Mauch is the father of a young son, and his sudden disappearance has left his family in anguish. As of Sunday night, he had made no contact with his loved ones.
Police are urging residents in Berkeley Heights and neighboring communities to review their surveillance footage for any sightings of Mauch. Authorities stressed that even small details or videos from doorbell or street cameras could be vital in tracing his movements after he was last seen.
Anyone with information about TJ Mauch’s whereabouts or who may have relevant video evidence is asked to contact the Berkeley Heights Police Department at 908-464-1111.
The search continues.
