Authorities have identified 18-year-old Tylar Jarod Goodloe as a person of interest in connection with a mass shooting that left four people dead and at least twelve others injured during homecoming celebrations in Leland, Mississippi, late Friday night.

According to officials, the shooting occurred around midnight Saturday along a main street in the small town of Leland, located in Washington County. The community event followed a Heidelberg High School homecoming football game, which had drawn large crowds of spectators and students.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Goodloe was taken into custody without incident south of Bay Springs after multiple citizen tips helped authorities track him down. The department also released his mugshot early Saturday morning.

One of the first victims publicly identified was 18-year-old Kaslyn Johnson, according to social media tributes. Several of the injured were airlifted to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

As of Saturday evening, investigators had not released a motive for the shooting.
