Celine Chiam Huiy Identified as Woman Who Refused to Compensate PHV Driver After Vomiting in His Car

Celine Chiam Huiy has been identified as the woman who allegedly refused to compensate a PHV driver after vomiting inside his car.

According to reports, her husband has been named as Michael Zhang.

In a video that has gone viral online, a visibly intoxicated woman can be seen stumbling out of a private-hire vehicle (PHV) while being assisted by a man believed to be her husband. The video, reportedly filmed by the PHV driver himself, shows the husband offering S$30 as compensation for the mess. However, the driver declined the offer and requested S$150 instead — a common rate for cleaning fees in such cases.

At that point, Celine Chiam Huiy allegedly intervened, telling her husband to stop negotiating and insisting that she would “handle it herself.”

The TikTok user who posted the clip — claiming to be the PHV driver’s neighbor — stated in the comments that the woman had vomited on the seat and car mat, leaving the vehicle in poor condition. He further alleged that no settlement was reached, as the woman refused to pay for the damage.

According to the post, the driver, who works for ride-hailing platform TADA, had to clean his car by himself for nearly three hours since nearby car washes were closed due to heavy rain.

The incident has sparked strong reactions online, with many sympathizing with the driver and calling for stricter penalties or automatic cleaning fees for passengers who damage vehicles during rides.
