Aria R. Groves Missing After Visiting Gabriel Filipe’s Home on Shady Glen Drive, Mother Amber Lampz Begs for Help

Authorities and family members are searching for 12-year-old Aria R. Groves, who has been missing for more than a week after reportedly visiting a man named Gabriel Filipe at his home on Shady Glen Drive (11258).

According to her mother, Amber Lampz, who has been pleading for help on Facebook, Aria was last seen after going to Filipe’s residence. Lampz confirmed that her daughter had indeed visited the man, writing, “She went to a man’s house, Gabriel Filipe, at his place on Shady Glen Drive.”

Aria has now been missing for seven and a half days, and it has been six full days since anyone has heard her voice or seen her active online. Her phone was switched off around 9 p.m. Monday night, with the last ping detected near the Arlington area (ZIP codes 32277/32211) — after which all contact stopped.

Before she disappeared, Aria sent her mother a frightening text, saying she was afraid to go back to the man’s house and feared he might hurt her while she slept. Those were the last words Amber received from her daughter.

“She doesn’t just go silent. Something is very, very wrong,” Lampz said. “I have no idea who this man, Gabriel Filipe, is. I went through Aria’s Instagram and saw messages showing she’d been with a group of girls at a house party. Police found my daughter and her friend Mari that night — but only picked up Aria because Mari wasn’t reported missing. Two days later, she snuck out again to meet Mari. I’ve called 911 six times with tips that they were back at that house. Still no luck.”

Lampz said she’s repeatedly contacted police but has been told that no Amber Alert has been issued because Aria’s case doesn’t meet the technical criteria for an abduction.

“How can anyone say she wasn’t kidnapped when a 12-year-old disappears after saying she’s scared of a man?” her mother wrote in anguish.

Friends and community members are now sharing Aria’s photo and story widely across social media, urging anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.
