Asa R. Howard, 18, of Edmonton, Kentucky, has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Glasgow that left three teenagers dead and several others injured.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, the deadly collision occurred on October 17 along North Jackson Highway, when Howard — reportedly speeding and under the influence — failed to stop at the Veterans Outer Loop intersection around 11:32 p.m., crashing into another vehicle.

The impact killed three teens, identified as Emily Corbin, 18, of Hart County; Charlie Fancher, 14, of Bowling Green; and William Moore, 17, of Edmonton.

Authorities said Howard was arrested on November 1 by Metcalfe County Sheriff’s deputies and is facing multiple felony charges, including:

  • Three counts of murder

  • First-degree assault

  • Three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment

Police allege that Howard initially fled the scene on foot before returning and was found to be “manifestly under the influence of an intoxicating substance.”

Howard and several passengers in both vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle, Timothy Houchens of Glasgow, was also treated for injuries.

The crash investigation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather evidence related to speed and intoxication.
