Family Member Alleges Stepson Responsible in Death of Cruise Passenger Anna Kepner, But Claims Remain Unconfirmed as FBI Investigates
A man identifying himself as Anna Kepner’s uncle has publicly alleged that a family member—specifically Anna’s stepbrother—is responsible for the 18-year-old’s death aboard the Carnival Horizon cruise ship.
These claims have not been confirmed by law enforcement, and no arrests have been announced.

According to the post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man alleges that Anna was traveling with her father, stepmother, stepbrother, and additional relatives during the cruise. He claims that the stepbrother allegedly killed Anna, wrapped her naked, beaten body in a bedsheet, placed her under the bed, covered the area with life jackets, and then supposedly slept on the bed afterward as if nothing had happened.

The poster also expressed outrage that Anna’s father had remained silent, calling the situation “sickening.” A screenshot of the post has been widely circulated on social media.

However, it is important to emphasize that these are allegations posted online, and it is unclear whether the individual is truly a relative or whether the claims are accurate. No official statement from investigators has supported these accusations, and making such claims without evidence could be harmful if untrue.
