Goodmotion Alex Went Live on Facebook After Shooting Erik Sandoval at Wolfchase Mall

Goodmotion Alex went live on Facebook moments after the fatal shooting of Erik Sandoval inside Wolfchase Galleria Mall in Cordova on Monday afternoon. Authorities have not confirmed the social-media claim, but the incident has drawn intense attention online as new details continue to emerge.

According to Memphis Police, officers responded to Wolfchase Galleria at 2:09 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located a male victim—later identified by online sources as Erik Sandoval—who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

Police stated that the shooting began after two individuals became involved in an altercation inside the mall. During the argument, one of the men pulled out a gun and opened fire. Investigators stressed that the incident was isolated and not an active-shooter situation, and that no other mall patrons were targeted.

Following the shooting, the suspected gunman fled the mall in a white SUV. Memphis Police later confirmed that the suspect had been identified and detained, though they had not publicly released his name at the time of the initial reports. Online users, however, circulated videos alleging that a man known as “Goodmotion Alex” appeared on Facebook Live shortly after the shooting, discussing the incident. Authorities have not verified that he is the suspect in custody.

It remains unclear how long the suspect was on the run, what prompted the argument that escalated into gunfire, or what the shooter’s motive may have been. Police told WREG the confrontation happened in a hallway of the mall before gunfire erupted.

As of now, Memphis Police have not formally released the identity of the victim or the suspect, and they have not addressed the circulating allegations involving Facebook Live. The investigation is ongoing.
