Grove City Realtor Seth Sias Dies After Battle with Mental Health: Family, Friends Mourn

Grove City, Ohio – Seth Sias, a respected realtor in Central Ohio, has died following struggles with mental health, according to online tributes shared by friends and colleagues.

Sias, affiliated with eXp Realty and owner of Ohio Legacy Home Group, was known for his dedication to client satisfaction and his support of the local community. He is survived by his fiancé, April, whom he became engaged to in July 2024, and three children.

Friends and fellow realtors have taken to social media to honor Sias’ memory while urging others to check on loved ones and be mindful of their words. Columbus realtor Justin Phillips wrote, “I know we all did a lot for him, and I’m sure like everyone we’re all just wondering if we could have done more. 🥺 So check on your friends today, be kind to those around you and who knew him. 🫶 I also just want to remind people, be mindful of what you say. You could be beating someone down when they’re at their lowest.”

Sias had previously been open about his struggles with alcohol addiction, which he overcame following a severe accident that left him in a coma. His openness inspired many in the real estate community and beyond, highlighting the importance of supporting those facing personal challenges.

In response to his passing, a GoFundMe campaign for April and her daughter has raised nearly $5,000 to help with unexpected expenses and support the family during this difficult time. The campaign notes, “April and her fiancé, Seth Sias, were building a life together, looking forward to a future filled with hope and love for their child. Seth’s recent passing has left April and their child facing unimaginable loss and uncertainty. The suddenness of this tragedy has brought not only emotional pain, but also unexpected financial challenges that April must now face alone.”

Sias’ death has sparked conversations about the importance of mental health awareness, kindness, and reaching out to those who may be struggling. His colleagues remember him as a devoted professional, a loving fiancé and father, and a man committed to helping others.
