Kali Crushell Harris, Tennessee Mother of Four, Killed in I-24 Crash in Marion County

Marion County, TN — Kali Crushell Harris, 28, a devoted mother of four and local entrepreneur, tragically died in a crash along Interstate 24 East near the 159-mile marker on Wednesday night.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Harris was the sole occupant of her vehicle when it left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned. The crash forced all eastbound traffic to be diverted at Exit 158 while troopers conducted their investigation.

Social media quickly identified Harris, a Marion County resident, as the fatal victim. Friends and family shared heartfelt memories online. Destiny Kiera O’Donnell wrote on Facebook:

"So sad to hear this morning. Unfortunately, Kali Crushell Harris passed away. She was so kind and lit up any room she was in! We met when she offered to do my maternity pictures when I was pregnant with Zeke and she hiked to Sunset Rock with us. I last saw her in May when I won her cookie giveaway—everything she made was the best. She was so talented at anything she tried! Praying for her children and the rest of her family."

Harris hailed from Lafayette, Georgia, and was a mother of four young children. Her social media profiles reflected her many passions: she was a baker and cake decorator at Kwestbaking, a photographer at Kali’s Photography, and a FedEx delivery driver.

A GoFundMe created by her mother, Jennifer Webber, reads:

"My heart is broken as I share the loss of my daughter, Kali, who was only 28 years old and the loving mother of four amazing children. She dreamed of opening her own bakery and giving her children everything she never had. She always put her kids first, making every moment special for them and filling their lives with love and laughter. Kali had just returned to work at FedEx for the holiday season, hoping to make this Christmas magical for her children. She wanted to get Lydia, Grayson, and Cooper an Xbox, and her youngest daughter a big dollhouse. Her dreams were simple—to see her children smile and give them the best life possible. Now, after her tragic accident on I-24 East, those dreams have been cut short, and her children are left without their devoted mother."

It remains unclear whether Harris was working for FedEx at the time of the crash, and authorities have not yet released details on what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

This tragic loss has left her community mourning a talented, kind, and dedicated mother whose life was cut far too short.
