Police in Michigan have issued an arrest warrant for a woman accused of throwing hot coffee at a McDonald’s worker, scalding the employee during a heated argument caught on camera.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 4, at a McDonald’s in Saginaw, according to the Buena Vista Police Department. Surveillance video shows the suspect — identified as Casharra Brown — arguing with a manager inside the restaurant before angrily hurling the contents of a hot coffee cup at them.
The disturbing altercation took place Tuesday morning at the McDonald’s on 3700 Dixie Highway and was captured on camera by bystanders. Video footage shows the 48-year-old woman angrily confronting the manager at the counter, demanding a refund for two food items. As the exchange grew increasingly tense, the manager attempted to walk away — and that’s when the woman removed the lid from her coffee cup and threw the scalding liquid directly at her.
“Fk you, b*h! Catch that hot a** coffee!” the woman shouted as the steaming drink splashed over the stunned manager, who screamed in pain while the attacker stormed out of the restaurant.
Detective Russ Pahssen of the Buena Vista Township Police Department told the Daily Mail that the manager suffered minor burns but was expected to recover. After sharing the video on Facebook, Pahssen said tips from the community quickly identified the suspect. “Before you know it, people were just reaching out to me,” he said.

The video begins with the customer accusing the manager of lying about her order. “You’re a liar! Why are you lying?” she shouts, while the manager calmly explains that her refund would be processed within 48 hours. “You’ve got your coffee,” the manager replies. “That’s all that you were charged for.”
The woman, growing more agitated, claimed she had been waiting for over an hour and demanded an apology. Witnesses watched in disbelief as she suddenly opened her cup and threw its contents, prompting the manager to scream out in shock and pain.
Police are continuing to search for the suspect as the video circulates online, drawing outrage from viewers horrified by the unprovoked attack. McDonald’s representatives for the Saginaw location have not yet responded to requests for comment.
