YouTube star Jack Doherty, 22, known for his daring pranks and viral stunts, was arrested in Miami on Saturday in connection with drug-related charges.

According to Miami Beach Police Department and online booking records, Doherty was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. The records indicate that he possessed amphetamine, along with cannabis, at the time of his arrest, as reported by NBC News.

Police say officers arrested Doherty shortly after 3:10 a.m. at the 700 block of Washington Avenue in South Beach’s Entertainment District. According to authorities, Doherty was in the middle of the road using his phone and ignored commands from officers to move, reportedly saying, “Once I’m done with this bet.”

During the search, police found a half of an orange, oval-shaped pill marked “3,” consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine, and a black plastic container holding three hand-rolled suspected cannabis cigarettes. Video footage from the arrest shows Doherty arguing with officers at the scene.

Doherty, of Plantation, Florida, was booked by Miami-Dade correctional deputies at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center shortly after 8:45 a.m. Bond was set at $3,500.

The YouTube personality has amassed more than 15 million followers on YouTube, over 10 million on TikTok, and more than 3 million on Instagram. His videos are often centered on pranks and stunts with provocative titles, including “I accidentally started a riot” and “Someone stole my Lamborghini.”

Hours before his arrest, Doherty posted videos from a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night out on the social media app Parti, showcasing the lifestyle his followers have come to expect.

This arrest serves as a cautionary turn for a content creator whose antics often toe the line between entertainment and trouble with the law.
