Joe Beebe, also identified as Joseph Beebe, 32, of Marion, Michigan, is being publicly called out following allegations that he engaged in sexually explicit online communications and shared inappropriate images, according to an independent investigation conducted by an online child-protection advocacy group.
According to information released by the group, the investigation spanned nearly two months and involved conversations between Beebe and an undercover decoy posing as a minor. During that time, Beebe allegedly engaged in explicit sexual discussions, describing acts he claimed he wanted to perform with the decoy.
Investigators say Beebe also allegedly sent multiple sexually explicit photos and videos of himself, including inappropriate imagery that has since circulated online as part of the group’s evidence disclosure.
Although authorities say Beebe did not attempt to arrange an in-person meeting, the advocacy group stated that the graphic and sexually explicit nature of the communications warranted escalation.
As a result, the group reported that it contacted the Michigan State Police, submitting all collected evidence for review.
Evidence Turned Over to Police
According to the organization, the materials submitted to law enforcement include:
-
Message transcripts
-
Photos
-
Videos
The Michigan State Police have not publicly confirmed whether charges have been filed or whether Beebe has been arrested. The matter remains under review.
The advocacy group emphasized that the release of information is intended to raise awareness and support ongoing investigations — not to incite harassment.
Warning Against Vigilante Action
The group issued a public warning urging individuals not to harass, threaten, or contact Beebe, his family, friends, or employer.
“Any form of harassment can compromise ongoing investigations,” the group stated.
They also encouraged anyone with information related to child exploitation to contact authorities directly.
