Authorities have identified Ralph Riu as the man who died by suicide outside Louie’s Coney Island at the corner of Gable Street and 7 Mile Road.

According to reports, Riu entered the restaurant before the incident, asking for help and expressing that he had “lost everything, including his family.” Shortly after, he exited the restaurant and tragically shot himself just outside the store.
