Brittany revealed that her sister, Eboni Silas, was killed in a shooting at Club Status near 28th Street and Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City early Sunday morning, Feb. 15, 2026. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 2:00 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
Deputies found three women with gunshot wounds. One woman, later identified as Eboni Silas, was declared deceased at the scene. The other two women were taken to local hospitals, where one later died from her injuries, and the third victim sustained non-life-threatening wounds. A fourth victim, a man, was taken to the hospital by personal transportation and was reported in critical condition.
Police stated the shooting began after an altercation between multiple suspects inside the nightclub escalated. At the time of the report, no suspects were in custody, and investigations were ongoing. Southwest Boulevard was closed from 27th Street to 29th Street while officers processed the scene.
