Gabriel Alessandro Campos Alvarez of Fabrizio Fauna Fired from Unifi Service After Online Controversy Linked to Gianluca Prestianni Racism Incident During UEFA Champions League Match Involving S.L. Benfica and Real Madrid CF

Gabriel Alessandro Campos Alvarez, associated online with the Fabrizio Fauna account, has reportedly been terminated from his position at Unifi Service following online backlash tied to a controversy involving Argentine footballer Gianluca Prestianni and Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior.

The situation stems from a recent Champions League match in Lisbon that was temporarily halted for about 10 minutes after Vinícius reported alleged racist abuse to referee François Letexier. Vinícius and several teammates briefly left the pitch during the stoppage. After the match, he posted on Instagram: “Racists are, above all, cowards.”

Prestianni, who could face a lengthy suspension from European competition if found guilty, denied making racist remarks. Benfica released a statement defending him, saying the distance between players made it unlikely Real Madrid players could have heard what they claimed, and added the club fully supports his version of events.

Online observers began scrutinizing social media commentary surrounding the incident and alleged that Campos Alvarez, believed by some users to be connected to the Fabrizio Fauna account, showed indirect support for Prestianni. Screenshots and posts circulated widely, intensifying criticism and prompting calls for accountability.

Shortly afterward, reports circulated that Unifi Service ended its employment relationship with Campos Alvarez. No official public statement from the company detailing the reason for the dismissal has been released, and it is unclear whether the decision was directly tied to the online controversy.

Neither Campos Alvarez nor representatives of the Fabrizio Fauna account have issued a verified public response regarding the termination or the allegations circulating online.
