Gabriel Alessandro Campos Alvarez, associated online with the Fabrizio Fauna account, has reportedly been terminated from his position at Unifi Service following online backlash tied to a controversy involving Argentine footballer Gianluca Prestianni and Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior.

The situation stems from a recent Champions League match in Lisbon that was temporarily halted for about 10 minutes after Vinícius reported alleged racist abuse to referee François Letexier. Vinícius and several teammates briefly left the pitch during the stoppage. After the match, he posted on Instagram: “Racists are, above all, cowards.”

Prestianni, who could face a lengthy suspension from European competition if found guilty, denied making racist remarks.
