Kendall Freeman Accused of Beating Son Kentrell Jacob Freeman as Warrant Issued; Child Hospitalized in Critical Condition in Mobile

Authorities are searching for a man identified as Kendall Freeman after allegations surfaced that he severely abused his 4-year-old son, Kentrell Jacob Freeman, leaving the child hospitalized with serious injuries.

According to the boy’s mother, who asked to be identified only as Kaitlyn, the incident occurred after the child spent a weekend with his father attending Mardi Gras parades. She said her son left home “super happy,” but the situation turned alarming when she was called to USA Children's and Women's Hospital and saw his condition.

Kaitlyn reported that when she pulled back the covers, she saw extensive injuries, including swelling, bruising, black eyes, and missing teeth. She said the child initially claimed he fell in the bathtub, but later told her he had been beaten with a belt after wetting himself.

She also stated that child welfare authorities arrived at the hospital and that Freeman left before law enforcement could detain him. An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for aggravated child abuse, though the Mobile Police Department has not released public details or commented on the case.

Family members have shared the allegations widely online, saying the boy remains in intensive care with kidney damage, severe bruising, and difficulty walking or using the bathroom independently. His mother says he is being treated for pain while doctors monitor his recovery.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not yet released additional information about Freeman’s whereabouts.
