A Nebraska couple has been arrested in connection with the disappearance and suspected deaths of a pregnant woman and her husband, authorities said.
Sterling James, 24, and his wife, Sayde Titus, 22, were taken into custody following an investigation into the January disappearance of Hannah Neville, 26, and her husband, Roberto Tanner, 27. Neville was seven months pregnant at the time.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, investigators allege that James confessed to fatally shooting Tanner and Neville between the late hours of January 15 and early January 16. James is Tanner’s half-brother, police said. Titus is accused of assisting James in concealing the couple’s bodies.

The couple’s disappearance was initially reported to police after Neville’s roommate and doctor raised concerns about missed appointments, and Polk County authorities contacted Lincoln police regarding their whereabouts.
Police have charged James with two counts of first-degree murder, and Titus with two counts of aiding and abetting first-degree murder. Investigators are continuing to search for the bodies. It is not yet clear whether the couple has entered pleas or retained attorneys.
The Lincoln Police Department emphasized that the investigation remains active, and no additional information has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged crimes.
