Jayson Zoleta Shot Inside Lucena City Store; Police Searching for Suspect Known as “Datu Gulf” [VIDEO]

Authorities in Lucena City, Philippines have launched a manhunt for a suspect identified as Fattah Esmai Faisal, also known on Facebook as “Datu Gulf,” following the shooting of a man inside a local store.

The victim was identified as Jayson Zoleta, who worked as an employee at a clothing outlet in a shopping mall in the city.

Shooting reported in Barangay 4

According to the Lucena Police, the shooting occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. on March 5 inside a store located along Enriquez Street in Barangay 4.

Authorities said Zoleta was shot during the incident and sustained serious injuries. Police immediately responded to the scene after receiving reports of the shooting.

Investigators later identified Fattah Esmai Faisal, a resident of Barangay Marketview, as the suspect in the case.

Suspect and victim reportedly knew each other

Initial findings from the police investigation suggest that the suspect and the victim allegedly had a personal relationship prior to the incident.

Officials have not yet released further details about what may have led to the shooting, and the circumstances surrounding the altercation remain under investigation.

Manhunt underway

Following the shooting, the suspect reportedly fled the scene. Authorities are now conducting a manhunt operation to locate and arrest Faisal.
