Over $2K Raised on GoFundMe for George Jorge Dorantes Carranza, Shot Dead at Patio Nightclub in Raleigh

A violent incident erupted early Sunday morning at an East Raleigh nightclub, leaving two men critically injured and sparking an outpouring of support for one of the victims. Over $2,000 has already been raised on GoFundMe for George Jorge Dorantes Carranza, who was shot during the altercation.

Shooting at Patio Nightclub

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to Patio Nightclub, located in the 3900 block of New Bern Avenue, around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, both with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victims to a nearby hospital. The conditions of both men remain critical, officials confirmed.

Graphic Footage Captures Chaos

Footage obtained by The North Carolina Beat shows chaos inside the club, with people running, screaming, and attempting to assist the injured. One man can be seen lying on the ground, bleeding heavily from the face. Portions of the video were blurred due to the graphic nature of the content.

Authorities have not yet released details on what led to the shooting and are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation.
