36-Year-Old Siditty Aszle Found Shot to Death Inside Range Rover in Southeast Atlanta; Ex-Boyfriend in Custody

A 36-year-old woman, Siditty Aszle, was found shot to death inside her Range Rover early Wednesday morning in southeast Atlanta. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, and her ex-boyfriend is currently in custody in connection with the tragic incident.

Police responded to reports of gunfire around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in the 2900 block of Springside Place SE. Upon arrival, officers discovered Aszle in the driver’s seat of the parked vehicle, which was located in the middle of the street. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that Aszle was shot while inside her Range Rover, and it is believed that the shooter fired into the vehicle.

“We’re still in the early stages of the investigation,” said Lt. Christopher Butler of the Atlanta Police Department. “We’re looking for surveillance video in the area to help piece together the events that led up to the shooting, as well as any witnesses who may have seen something.”

 

Police have stated that they are following leads based on the vehicle's route before the shooting and are attempting to determine if Aszle was accompanied by anyone at the time. Investigators are also seeking assistance from the public, especially through video footage, tips, and any information that could help clarify the circumstances surrounding her death.

At this time, police have not publicly identified the suspect but confirmed that Aszle’s ex-boyfriend has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Authorities are working to establish a motive and determine whether the crime was premeditated or a result of a domestic dispute.

Aszle’s death has left the community in shock, and police are urging anyone who might have seen anything unusual in the area to come forward.
