Alex Taylor and Ogee Meeski Identified as Victims Killed in Country Club Hills Shooting as Police Investigate Double Homicide

Authorities are investigating a double homicide after two men were found fatally shot late Thursday night in Country Club Hills.

Police said officers responded at approximately 10:25 p.m. on April 9, 2026, to reports of a shooting in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims have since been identified as Alex Taylor and Ogee Meeski.

At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody, and investigators have not released any information regarding a possible motive.

Due to the severity of the case, the investigation has been turned over to the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, which is now leading efforts to determine what led to the shooting.
