Kafengo, KK Mwenyewe's best friend and fellow content producer, has disclosed that the comic passed away next to him when he was in line at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital for medical care.

On Monday, July 21, Kafengo gave a speech at a memorial service at the Blue Springs Hotel on Thika Road.

According to earlier reports, KK passed away due to complications with his chest. But Kafengo explained that since 2020, KK had been dealing with a recurrent stomach ailment, primarily acidity. If treatment is not received, this condition is known to cause discomfort and chest pain.

KK underwent multiple treatments and frequently seemed to get better. However, his condition deteriorated in the last few months.

    It became more serious two months ago. It got worse after a month. He was referred to a public hospital after visiting a private one on Friday, July 11, according to Kafengo.

KK was treated that weekend and appeared to be doing better. He remained in Kirigiti with his parents and was scheduled to go to a public hospital on Monday.

    "That day, we were going to meet and shoot content," Kafengo stated. When we last saw him, he was happy. None of us anticipated his death.

Kafengo's director called them early on Monday morning. It was necessary to transport KK to the hospital.

“He could still talk and even drink water. He didn’t seem very serious,” said Kafengo.

After locating a vehicle, they drove him to Kiambu Level 5 Hospital. They waited in line at the hospital.

    As I waited, I observed that KK had stopped talking. Despite the line, I became anxious and called the doctor," Kafengo said.

The physician arrived. And KK was dead already.

    "It came so quickly," Kafengo remarked.

KK shared a home with his aging grandmother. He was the only source of income. Kafengo urged those who cared about the family to help them.

On Wednesday, July 23, KK will be laid to rest in his family's house in Gathiroini, Lari, Kiambu County.
