Jonalyn Bacaro Olive, another grade 11 student, died in a motorcycle accident in Pagadian City

Two senior high school students from Zamboanga del Sur National High School (ZSNHS) lost their lives, while another was injured following a motorcycle accident at Purok Sili-3, Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City on Friday, August 1.

In CCTV footage owned by Jona Saurnero, the motorcycle carrying the students can be seen crashing into Saurnero’s residence.

The victims were identified as Tiffany (16), a resident of Tiguma, and Jonalyn (17). Their classmate Shane was driving the black Honda Click 125 when the vehicle lost control while going downhill from Barangay Palpalan.

Tiffany was rushed to Jamillaren Hospital but was later declared unresponsive. Meanwhile, Jonalyn was unfortunately declared unresponsive at the scene. Shane is currently recovering in the hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Reports say the students had no classes that day due to an activity related to the Buwan ng Wika celebration at their school.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full details of the incident.
