Chicago rapper NoLimit Jdoggie was left fighting for his life after being shot multiple times on the South Side, just hours after allegedly dissing rival rapper Swerv.
The incident went down Sunday afternoon in the 2500 block of East 78th Street, a neighborhood that has seen its share of gunfire in recent years. According to police, shots rang out around 3:45 p.m., bringing first responders rushing to the scene.
When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from serious wounds. A 19-year-old victim had been struck in the chest, while 27-year-old “JDogg,” known in the streets as part of the NLMB crew, had been hit six times in the back. Witnesses say the chaos drew a heavy police and EMS presence, with officers immediately applying first aid before both men were rushed to nearby hospitals in critical condition.
The shooting has sparked buzz online, with fans of the Chicago drill scene connecting it to rising tensions between rival crews. Police have not confirmed any motive, but the timing has many speculating that the shots may be linked to recent lyrical disses traded between local rappers.
As of now, both victims remain hospitalized, and detectives continue to investigate.
