Uxbridge, UK – A fundraising effort has raised £10,000 for the family of Wayne Broadhurst after the 49-year-old was tragically killed in a stabbing incident in Uxbridge. Broadhurst was one of three victims attacked in a shocking act of violence on Monday, 27 October.
The Metropolitan Police were called to Midhurst Gardens at around 5:00 p.m., where officers and the London Ambulance Service found three people injured from stab wounds. Despite emergency services’ best efforts, Broadhurst was pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Local residents quickly came together in mourning. A vigil was held on Tuesday evening at Midhurst Gardens, where flowers were laid and candles lit in memory of Broadhurst.
The incident also left a 14-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man injured, with the older man reportedly sustaining “life-changing injuries.”

Witnesses described the terrifying events. One resident told the Daily Mail that Broadhurst was “very well known” in the area. They said the suspect chased Broadhurst and a young boy along the street, and when a local dog walker attempted to intervene, he too was stabbed multiple times.
Another neighbor described Broadhurst as “a lovely guy, very gentle and peaceful,” adding that he was simply doing his routine dog walk when the attack occurred. “He was just doing the normal dog walk that he does every day,” the neighbor said.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall called the attack “shocking and senseless,” emphasizing the heavy police presence in the area as detectives continue their investigation.
