Amber Hester, a former employee of Lee Obstetrics and Gynecology (Lee OBGYN), has revealed that she was terminated from her job after being issued a Failure to Appear (FTA) related to a personal court matter.
Hester shared her story through a detailed post on TikTok and Facebook, where she accused her former workplace of unfair treatment and unprofessional behavior.
In her post, Amber Hester claimed she was fired from Lee OBGYN after being arrested for missing a court date — a situation she said was partly caused by her supervisor’s refusal to grant her time off.
According to Hester, her team lead, Morgan Walters, told her that Janie Marino, the clinic’s administrator and wife of Dr. Marino, denied her request for leave to attend court. As a result, she missed her appearance, received an FTA, was briefly arrested, and later terminated from the clinic for allegedly being “a bad look for the business.”
“I was fired from my job there due to a situation in my personal life,” Hester wrote. “I was told by my team lead that I couldn’t attend court, was issued a FTA, and then fired after getting arrested. They said it was a ‘bad look for the business.’”
Hester went on to describe a tense encounter at the clinic when she returned to retrieve her belongings. She claimed that Janie Marino and the HR manager, Laura, followed her out of the building and even called the police while accusing her of refusing to leave — despite her already exiting the premises.
In her post, Hester also shared a series of allegations about misconduct and unprofessional behavior among staff members, particularly against Morgan Walters. She accused Walters of gossiping about patients, trying to pursue a patient’s husband, and targeting her after a workplace dispute over unpaid reimbursements and timecard issues.
“If you are a patient of this place or thinking of working here, just be careful and watch your back,” Hester warned. “My post is just the tip of the iceberg — there’s so much more that has gone on there.”
Hester concluded her post by thanking those who had reached out with messages of support and encouragement, adding that she is currently seeking new employment.
“The outpouring of love and support I’ve gotten from current and former employees speaks volumes,” she wrote.
The viral post has since sparked discussion online about workplace ethics, professionalism, and employee treatment within the healthcare industry
