Disturbing new details have emerged surrounding the tragic deaths of Tshiamo Moramaga (22) and Baleseng Moramaga (21), two cousins whose bodies were found early Sunday morning, 26 October 2025, in Extension 17, Mamelodi East, Tshwane (Pretoria).

Information obtained by investigators reportedly shows that a man spent R10,000 on alcohol and entertainment with the Moramaga cousins shortly before their deaths. The discovery has deepened the mystery surrounding the case, which has left the Mamelodi community in shock.

According to police, officers were called to Sompisi Street at around 6:15 a.m. after residents found the bodies of the two women lying side by side. Both had gunshot wounds to the head, and authorities have opened a double-murder investigation.

Neighbours told police they heard raised voices and the sound of gunfire in the early hours of the morning. One neighbour recalled hearing Tshiamo’s voice moments before the shots, allegedly pleading, “Please leave me alone, you will make me make a mistake.”

When police examined the scene, they found that one of the victims’ phones was missing, while the other woman’s cellphone was still in her pocket.

Family members of the victims described the cousins as inseparable and said they did everything together. Their sudden and violent deaths have devastated loved ones and sparked renewed calls for justice and safety in Mamelodi East.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the events leading up to the murders to contact the Gauteng police immediately.
