Mokgoloboto Village, Limpopo — A woman identified as Desree Mohau Letsoalo was allegedly brutally assaulted by her boyfriend using a tombstone in Mokgoloboto Village, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
According to reports, the suspect has since been arrested following the violent attack that left Letsoalo with severe injuries. She is currently receiving medical treatment at Letaba Hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.
Community activist Miyelani Ramojela, from the advocacy group Tzaneen Speak Out, confirmed that the organization is working closely with law enforcement authorities to ensure that justice is served.
Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s identity, but a court appearance is expected soon, with an official date to be announced in the coming days.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the community, with many calling for harsher penalties for gender-based violence and better protection for women in rural areas.
