A 20-year-old Texas woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence and assaulting a law enforcement officer following a major crash on a Houston highway last week.
Officers with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office responded to reports of a collision in the 5100 block of North Sam Houston Tollway West on October 2. Upon arrival, officers found a visibly intoxicated and uncooperative driver, later identified as Claire Denise Ihfe.
According to the arrest report, Ihfe displayed several signs of intoxication and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. While at the hospital, she reportedly became combative and kicked a deputy, causing him pain, according to Constable Mark Herman.
